Lidia’s concern about understanding consumer behavior has led her to work on online consumer behavior and tourist behavior. Her interests in this latter area revolve around destination competitiveness, sustainability, and destination image. Lidia has worked on consulting, research, and training contracts, through the university, with several private & public sectorcompanies. Frederic DIMANCHE

PhD in Marketing, Professor, Ted Rogers School of Hospitality and Tourism Management, Director

Ryerson University (Toronto, CANADA).

Frederic Dimanche obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Oregon, USA. He specializes in marketing and management of tourism organizations and destinations. Frederic started his academic career in the College of Business at the University of New Orleans and he worked as Director of Research for The Olinger Group in the USA. He was hired in 2001 by SKEMA Business School to lead the development of master programs and research activities in the field of tourism, event, and hospitality management. Frederic has published numerous articles and has been an active lecturer and contributor to industry practice, working for universities, private companies, and national or regional travel and tourism organizations, in Africa, Asia, Europe, and North and Central America. He is a member of the International Academy for the Study of Tourism.

Larry Michael DWYER

PhD in Philosophy, Professor of Travel and Tourism Economics

Honorary Professor, School of Marketing, Australian Business School, University of New South Wales (Sydney, AUSTRALIA).

Larry Dwyer publishes widely in the areas of tourism economics, management and policy, with 200 publications in international journals, government reports, books, book chapters, and monographs. He receives many invitations to give keynote addresses at international tourism conferences and workshops worldwide. He has been awarded numerous research grants to contribute to tourism knowledge. Larry maintains strong links with the tourism industry at international, national, state and local levels. Larry has undertaken an extensive number of consultancies for public and private sector tourism organisations within Australia including Tourism Research Australia, and for international agencies, including the United Nations World Tourism Organisation. Professor Dwyer is President of the International Association for Tourism Economics, a member of the International Advisory Board of the Business Enterprises for Sustainable Tourism Education Network (BESTEN), and a fellow of the International Academy for Study of Tourism. He is the most cited Australian tourism researcher over the past decade.

Yao-Yi FU

Colin Michael HALL

Professor of the University of Canterbury Department of Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship (Christchurch, NEW ZEALAND).

Michael Hall has had positions including Professor in Tourism at the University of Otago, Professor of Tourism and Service Management at Victoria University of Wellington, and Honorary Professor in the Department of Marketing, Stirling University, Scotland. In addition Michael is also a Docent at the University of Oulu, Finland; a Visiting Professor at Linneaus University in Sweden and a Senior Research Fellow at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. He is also an external examiner at the University of Mauritius. Michael has longstanding teaching, publication and research interests in tourism, regional development, global environmental change, social marketing and sustainable development with particular emphasis on issues of place branding and resilience as well as conservation and environmental change; sustainable tourism and sustainable consumption; tourism policy, planning and governance; and the use of tourism as an economic development and conservation mechanism. He is the author and editor of over 80 books as well as over 200 journal articles and 300 book chapters and has been active in a number of international research and business associations.

Sotiris HJI-AVGOUSTIS

Stephen Robert Charles WANHILL

Dr. Wanhill is a Emeritus Professor of Tourism Research, Bournemouth University and a Director of Global Tourism Solutions (UK). His principal research interests are in the field of tourism destination development. To this extent he has acted as a tourism consultant to a number of UK planning and management consulting firms, and has undertaken a wide range of tourism development strategies, tourism impact assessments, lecture programmes and project studies from airports to cultural attractions, both in the UK and worldwide, covering some 50 countries.
